Made for your workflow
View PDFs, images, and notes side by side
Keep a reference image and the document you are reading in one workspace, with less switching back and forth.
Compare without relying on memory
Keep a mockup beside its design brief, or read your notes alongside a work you are studying. Zoom in to inspect an image, then return to the full composition without repeatedly changing windows.
Get started
- Open the image or document you want to examine.
- Drag another open tab to one side of the workspace and release it when the split indicator appears.
- Inspect image details and read your document in adjacent views while keeping your reference visible.
Read a brief while taking notes
Try a project brief and a separate Markdown note in the same workspace.
Open your reference
Open the PDF or image you want to study.
Keep the note beside it
Open a Markdown document with the Markdown plugin, then drag its tab to the side until the split indicator appears.
Record your decisions
Write observations and questions in the Markdown note. The PDF remains a reference; these notes do not become annotations inside the PDF.
Before you get started
How do I put two documents side by side?
Open both documents, then drag one tab toward the side of the workspace. Release it when the split indicator appears.
Can I write notes beside a PDF?
Open a Markdown document with the Markdown plugin and place it beside the PDF. Write in the note while keeping the reference visible.
Does previewing a file mean I can edit it?
No. Preview and editing capabilities depend on the format and installed plugins. Writing a separate Markdown note does not add annotations to the PDF.
