Made for your workflow

Save web images and articles locally

Blabla Capture works with the Blabla desktop app to save web articles and selected images to a local library. Article text is saved as Markdown, with the page title and source URL.

Build a reference collection

Save the text of an article or select images from a project you are exploring. Organize the captured material with collections and tags when you return to your library.

Get started

  1. Install Blabla Capture from the Chrome Web Store and open the Blabla desktop app.
  2. Click the extension on a webpage. Preview the article and available images or videos, filter candidates by size or domain, and select what you need.
  3. Save to Blabla. Article text is saved as Markdown; selected media is handed to the desktop app for import, with the page title and source URL.

Build a reference set from an article

Try this with an article you have permission to save. Keep the written explanation and choose only the reference images you need.

  1. Save the explanation

Capture the article as Markdown so you can return to its text in your local library.

  2. Choose the useful images

Preview image candidates and filter by dimensions or domain. A page may expose thumbnails or repeated images; review the selection before saving.

  3. Keep the source with the material

Use the saved page title and source URL to revisit the original. Add the material to a project collection when you return to Blabla.

Before you get started

Does web capture need the desktop app?

Yes. Install Blabla Capture in Chrome and open Blabla on your computer. The extension selects webpage content and hands it to the desktop app for saving.

Does saving an article preserve the whole webpage?

Article text is saved as Markdown. This is not a pixel-for-pixel archive of the original webpage. Available images and videos depend on the website.

Can I return to the original source?

Captured content includes the page title and source URL. Keep the source alongside your reference so you can revisit the original page.
